Dear Neighbour,

The Glen Road Neighbourhood Watch Network is the latest local initiative to increase the footprint of the Neighbourhood Watches in our valley. Our crime rate is one of the lowest in the Western Cape and we would like to keep it that way.

1.                   The Coordinator for The Glen Road Neighbourhood Watch  is Steve Coe who will keep you informed of any crime in your area and other relevant information by means of e-mail alerts and postings on this blog site. (Contact details above).

 2.                Although formal patrolling is not considered necessary for the area at this stage, it may be necessary in the future. For the moment, this is best left to the police and security companies. The object for now is to form a strong community spirit by getting to know your neighbours and operating as the eyes and ears of the community. Any suspicious behaviour, however trivial and unimportant it may seem, should be reported by you to the police on 021-786 8646 or 7.

3.                  The major advantage of having a network in place, with all streets represented, is that the community(and police ) can respond more quickly if and when required. Your contribution is important for an efficient neighbourhood watch. So please keep in touch.

4.         Emails sent to the coordinator will be re-distributed to other members of the Watch, and where appropriate, also posted on this web site.

Kind regards,

Steve Coe

One Response to “About”

    Hi,

my boyfriend was driving down Glen rd this morning (15/1-2010) (not sure what time- late morning) and he said that there were two huge male baboons chasing and cornering two little dogs in their yard at 126 Glen rd, he said that the dogs were terrified,so him and another lady did what they could to get the baboons to move on and they did eventually leave the little dogs alone. He called the baboon monitering number- to get them to come and move these two along and the moniter said that bigger male baboons seem to be leaving the troops and that they are very vicious. So just wanted to warn everyone.
